JSU-152 - Stains

Bonjour à tous ! PAS LE TEMPS ! Je suis en retard, en retard, en retard ! Pas étonnant, ma montre a exactement 2 jours de retard ! :)

Hi everyone! NO TIME! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! Well no wonder, my watch is exactly 2 days late! :)

Beaucoup de choses se passent en ce moment, tant au niveau de la maison que du travail, ce qui, à mon grand regret, me laisse trop peu de temps pour m'adonner à ma passion. Mais, j'ai quand même réussi à trouver de quoi vous divertir !

Lots of things are taking place right now, in the house as in on the workplace, which, to my greatest regret, allows me too little time to live my passion. But, I still found something to entertain you!

J'ai vraiment besoin et envie de finir ce projet, parce que d'une part j'y prends énormément de plaisir et d'autre part, je suis relativement satisfait du travail accompli. Il persistent certains points sur lesquels j'aimerais travailler, comme ces décalcomanies qui m'usent et m'agacent, mais... ça viendra avec le temps ! C'est marrant, c'est justement le truc qui me manque... DU TEMPS !

I really want to finish this project, because first I get a lot of pleasure out of it and on the other hand, I'm quite satisfied with the work done so far. Some aspects need to be worked on, like the decals which are bothering and making nearly mad, but... time will fix this! That funny, it's just the thing that I miss... TIME!

Bon, maintenant que la plupart de mes pigments sont fixés et ça me va (il reste l'arrière à traiter et un peu l'avant), j'ai pu travailler sur les différents effets de graisse et de carburant. J'ai essayé d'être plus "ordonné" qu'avec le Jagdtiger. Beaucoup moins de traces trop disparates et trop grosses à mon goût. J'ai quand même lâché prise sur un réservoir... Et ouais, j'suis comme ça !

Well, now that most of the pigments are set and suit me (I need to add some on the rear and the front), I have focused on the different greas and fuel stains. I've tried to be more "organized" here than I was with the Jagdtiger. Much less random and too big spills to my taste. I still let it go on a gas tank... Yeah, that's the way I am!

Il faut bien avoir à l'idée que ces effets sont très vite visibles, car ils sont assez brillants ! Alors préférez diluer un peu les produits AK. Un autre truc sympa, c'est l'ajout de pigments plus ou moins sombres permettant d'une part de casser le côté trop brillant des énamels, mais qui donnent aussi un peu plus de relief. Par exemple, sur le réservoir grandement sali, j'ai utilisé un mélange de pigments et de Oil Stains, mais j'ai aussi utilisé ce produit pur sur lequel j'ai appliqué quelques pigments.

You have to keep in mind that these effects are really visible, since they are shiny! So you'd bette dilute the AK products. Something cool as well, is to add pigments allowing the whole thing to get dull and giving it some texture. That's what I did on the very dirty tank. I made a mix of Oil Stains and pigments, but I also used the pure product on which I applied some pigments.

Pour le reste, j'ai simplement posé la pointe du pinceau sur les endroits voulus. Puis avec un pinceau plat et un cure-dents, j'ai réalisé quelques légères éclaboussures.

For the rest, I simply put the tip of the brush on the desired places. Then with a flat brush and a toothpick, I made some speckles.

I hope you like it! For the moment, the wheels and tracks got a great amount of pigments. I'm waiting for them to dry and I hope I'll be able to show you the results next week!
