Aufklärungspanzer 38(t) - Photoetch (Part 2)

J'ai passé quelques jours à Lille et je suis allé faire un petit tour en Belgique, notamment au Mont Noir (très bel endroit) chez Domino... Et j'ai craqué ! J'y allais pour ça en même temps ! Niveau kits, je compte le M1117 Guardian de Trumpeter, Le GAZ-AAA Mod. 1943 de MiniArt, le M-ATV MRAP de Panda une plieuse photodécoupe Hold and Fold et The Wrangler venant tout deux de The Small Shop. Inutile de vous dire que je suis heureux !

I've spent some days in Lille and I went to Belgium, going by the Mont Noir (very nice place) at Domino's... And I let myself go! I was going there for this reason! I bought some models, like the M1117 Guardian from Trumpeter, the GAZ-AAA Mod. 1943 by MiniArt, the M-ATV MRAP by Panda and The Hold and Fold (photo-etch folding machine) and The Wrangler coming both from The Small Shop. Useless to say that I'm really happy!

Revenons à notre Panzer ! Avec mon nouveau jouet, j'ai donc attaqué la photodécoupe. J'ai connu quelques légères difficultés notamment avec la caisse dont le rabat a provoqué en moi quelques jurons ! Mais au final, je suis assez satisfait !

Let's talk about my Panzer! With my new toy, I worked on photoetched parts. I've had some difficulties with the box which cover made me use some "F" words! But, in the end, I'm quite satisfied!

Pour la photodécoupe, voici ce que vous devez savoir :

- Nettoyez vos pièces.

- Imaginez votre pièce montée et anticipez le pliage.

- Il vaut parfois mieux souder que coller.

For photoetch, here is what you should take into account:

- clean the parts.

- Imagine your part built and anticipate the folding.

- Sometimes it's better to solder than glue.

Pour la soudure, utilisez de la pâte à souder, limez le bout de votre fer à souder. Prélevez une très petite quantité d'étain sur le bout de votre fer et appliquez-le à un endroit non visible. Si nécessaire, limez après la soudure.

For soldering, use some soldering paste, "clean" the end of your soldering machine with a file. Get a very small amount of tin on the tip of your machine and apply it somewhere invisible. If necessary file after soldering.
