SU-85 - Chipping (Part 5)

Bonjour à tous ! Pour les jus, voyez ici !

Hi everyone! For the washes, have a look here!

This morning, I had some time, so I could start the chipping process on the SU-85! A small preparation was needed for this scale! I simply cut 3/4 of the bristles of a 0 brush to get some accuracy! I'm quite satisfied with the result, even if at some place, some chips look a bit too big and round. I've also done some mapping using the "Shine" color from the 4B0 Russian Green Modulation set from AK-Interactive ! Here it is !

J'ai essayé de répartir les éraillures de manière logique... Je ne sais pas si ça convient, mais cela me semble assez correct. Bien sûr, j'ai aussi évité de créer des symétries, qui rendent le rendu bien trop fade. Ca vous plaît?

I've tried to apply the chips with some kind of logic... I don't know if it's fine, but it seems correct to me. Of course, I've avoided creating symmetries, making the whole look dull. Do you like it?

  2. I really dig the rusty fuel can. I'm totally going to steal that idea in the future. =)

Those are some tiny, tiny paint chips! They look incredible. Do you use a magnification lens?

    1. Hi Kyle! Thanks!
I've tried rusting it more, adding pigments and painting over it to scratch the result after, but it didn't work. I'll do it another way!
I don't use a magnification lens... My eyes only! I really get as much paint off the brush and barely touch the model!
Thanks Kyle, I really appreciate your comments... I had really bad responses to this work, saying that I was at light years from Russian Green... You're giving some confidence right now! ;)
      Alex!

    2. "Light years from Russian Green"
What complete nonsense. ANYTHING can pass for "Russian Green." It sounds like somebody was extremely jealous of your results and felt like dragging you down to feel better.
      Ugh, some people... (rolls eyes)

      Anyways, great job again!

    3. Lol! Thanks Kyle! I've thought about this and I know how controversial the subject of 4B0 Russian Green is!
I'll take that hideous remark for jealousy then!
Thanks mate! It really means to me! ;) Having good responses from you is always welcome since I really like what you're doing! Keep up the good work, Kyle!
Hope to meet you someday! ;)
      Alex!
